Handheld Fireballs

This guy shows you how to make fireballs that you can hold in your hands! I dont understand how these fireballs do not burn your hands or fingers, but seeing is believing...

I'm of the opinion that juggling fireballs will always be a neat party trick, just try not to burn yourself or set your house on fire.

Based on some feedback to this post, here are some warnings and tips before trying this for yourself:

  • It is a BALL OF FIRE, it does get hot!
  • Note in the video how the ball is not in contact with one piece of skin for more than a few seconds, rolling it between the fingers.
  • Be carefull, dont burn yourself or start accidental fires.
  • Use outdoors, away from flamable materials.
  • Do not overfuel, the fireball should be slightly damp, not dripping wet.
  • Only use 100% cotton for the cloth and thread.
  • Results vary on the quality of the cotton and lighter fluid.
  • Experiment by making a couple of balls and using different amounts of fuel in each.
  • When the fuel in the fireball is getting low the cloth will start burning, reducing it to embers. To avoid this kill the flame before the cloth starts burning and refuel or switch balls.
  • The ball should be firm and round, with no pieces of loose cloth sticking out.
  • When holding the fireball between your fingers, hold it on the bottom part of the ball.
  • Holding the fireball between your fingers is best done while the fireball is still relatively cool.
  • Having a couple of fireballs at the ready to switch between allow you to let hotter ones cool by switching to cooler fireballs.
  • When the fireball starts getting hotter, skin contact should become shorter, for instance rolling the fireball around in the palm and bouncing between hands. Preferrably switch to colder refueled fireballs.
  • When juggling, use open palms facing upwards.
  • When killing a fireball, make sure to prevent any air from reaching the ball, and opening your hand as soon as the flame is dead.
  • Watch the video a few times to get a better feel for it.

A PRE-SCHOOL TEST FOR YOU

Which way is the bus below traveling?

To the left or to the right?

Can't make up your mind?

Look carefully at the picture again.

Still don't know?

Pre-schoolers were shown this picture asked the same question.

90% of the pre-schoolers gave this answer.

"The bus is traveling to the right ."
When asked, "Why do you think the bus is traveling to the right?"

They answered:

"Because you can't see the door to get on the bus."

How do you feel now?

I know, me too.
